Accommodation: The retreat will be hosted at our own dedicated retreat space for the LGBTQ+ community, the Jungle Gayborhood in the Diamante Valley of Costa Rica. All accommodations are in comfortable bamboo jungle cabins. Pictures of the retreat center and cabins are shown when selecting your accommodation type. Private and shared options available.

Food: All meals are provided daily during your stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared fresh in house by our kitchen team.

Booking Process: Please submit your booking to secure your spot. We will send you a participants questionnaire to fill out. Please do not book non-refundable travel until we've confirmed your space.

Reduced Price / Scholarships: We intend to make this experience as accessible as possible for people so we have set aside some scholarships to reduce the price of the retreat. Some of these scholarships are specifically set aside to make the retreat more affordable for Costa Ricans. If you are unable to afford the full price, please email scholarships@junglegayborhood.com and explain your situation and what price you are able to afford, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation. Please submit your request for a scholarship before January 1st 2024 to ensure its consideration. If you are in a position to be able to support, please consider a contribution to the Scholarship fund during check out to assist those that may not be able to otherwise attend.

What does ‘Conscious’ mean to us?
We differentiate Conscious Kink from other practices of kink through the following 4 main pillars:
1- Intention:
‘Conscious’ starts with the intention we set. We intending to be present with ourselves and our partners, rather than simply be guided by our unconscious patterns.
2- Connection:
We intend to create spaces of deep connection with others. We hold space for their needs and voice our own for them to be seen and honored.
3- Embodiment:
We intend to actively inhabit be more in the body rather than be in the mind. We can then hold a better space of presence and consciousness for ourselves and others.
4- Safety:
We create safer spaces by taking care of ourselves, holding safety within ourselves and doing our best to create spaces of safety for others.
HOW?

A 8-day conscious play-space in a lush jungle paradise. 
There will be lots of sex-positive open space, as well as optional workshops including: 
Naked partner yoga, contact improv, kinky nature walks, sexy waterfall excursions, and Orgasmic shamanism (a consciousness-altering practice of cosmic sex).
Play with desires and boundaries, as well as workshops exploring kinky fantasies such as:
As well as guided open-spaces for more creative exploration.

This play-week is open to all male-identified bodies, of any sexual orientation, age, body-type, race.
All activities and workshops are optional. No previous experience is necessary but a willingness for sexual exploration is key.
It is for those who are seeking to expand their creativity. 
It won’t be of interest to those who are simply looking for a typical group-sex experience.

FAQ : How sexual will it get? 
Consent and safety
✔ We will create a safe space first by establishing ways of voicing consent and boundaries.
✔ Each participant will be responsible for their own body, for respecting their desires and boundaries.
✔ Each participant will be able to decide “how far” they choose to go.
✔ Participation to workshops and partner practices will always be optional.
✔ In some workshops, pairings might be randomly assigned. Therefore participants choosing to participate in partner work must be open to interacting with anyone. You will be able to choose the level of interaction they are comfortable with in any moment, ranging from eye-gazing to more explicit touch and interaction.
SCHOLARSHIP OPTIONS

Participants who would like to join the course but are facing financial challenges and difficulties can opt for one of a limited number of scholarship option.
They will be able to access the course at a greatly reduced price. Accommodation will be in a camping tent rather than a cabin.
In order to qualify for this, a participant needs to send us an email speaking of their motivation for joining the course as well as describing the nature of their difficult financial situation.

PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT: The Medicine of Eros and the Jungle Gayborhood aim to inspire personal exploration, radical self expression, and a sense of connection – internally, with community, and with nature. We actively cultivate practices that support these goals by consciously exploring embodiment practices, authentic relating, somatic movement therapy, shamanism and sacred sexuality.

To create a predictable and safe environment conducive to this type of healing, growth, reflection, and expansion, we ask all that come to our home align around these community agreements.
